British Bitter

12l water up to 74.7oC
heat off
(next time, let temp drop/put into cool box)
added crushed grains in grain bag
timer set for 75min
remove grain bag after 75min
bring to boil - keep rolling boil
added malt extract (pale liquid extract - light black rock unhopped) and hops (15g rakau)
timer starts
+45m 500g golden syrup
+60m 10g rakau, 10g styrian golding
+65m 500g light dry extract
40g styrian golding
+72m 25g rakau
+75m shut off

add cold water to 23l - should do extra water first - about 13l
cooling (from about 40oC)

1.050 @ 30oC
mangrove jacks new world strong ale yeast M42 added - 11/9 8pm @ 21oC

1.014 @ 22oC 16/9
1.010 @ 22oC 23/9

140g corn sugar

Nice British bitter - slightly under carbonated
